FAQ’s

How do I enrol on the courses?

All on-line courses can be enrolled on straight away – you simply book and pay for the course and the relevant materials will be sent to you.

For all other courses that include practical training, you do not need to pay for the course now.  Scroll down to the bottom of the course page you are interested in and you will see a book now button.  An email will open up, if you send an email, in return you will be asked your name, email, phone number, what course you are interested in and what month you would like to begin/do the course.  You will then be allocated a course of your choice with dates and then deposit/payment will be required to reserve your place.  With the exception of on-line courses, it is not necessary to add to cart at enrolment stage.

How soon after enrolling can I start my course?

Once you have enrolled on the course and paid the course fee, you will have immediate access to the online course modules which means you can start learning straight away. Practical training will be provided within three weeks of completion of the theory aspect of the course.

How long will it take me to complete my course?

The time it takes to complete the course will depend on how quickly you learn as an individual, and also on the number of hours per day you spend on it.

Are the courses accredited?

The courses are fully accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists for membership and insurance.  iTEC courses are all fully accredited by iTEC.

Are the courses accredited for Continuing Professional Development – CPD?

All GTI courses are accredited for Continuing Professional Development by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists.  There is no CPD attached to the iTEC courses.

What support is available to me whilst doing the course?

All GTi courses have access to integrated email support from fully qualified therapists and tutors.  All iTEC courses have full support from your tutor from when you begin your course until you complete.

Do I need anything special on my computer?

You will need to have a modern web browser. You can use any well-known, modern browser on any device (computer, phone, tablet or laptop).

How will the GTI courses be marked?

Following each course module you will take an online examination which requires a pass rate of around 70%. For the practical module you will need to demonstrate that you can perform the outlined tasks to the skill level required.

Am I allowed to refer to text books or notes during the GTI examination?

No. You are expected to complete online tests under exam conditions without referring to any notes, text books or online help.

What if I fail a GTI module?

If you fail a module you have the ability to re-take the examination twice. If you fail the module you will be contacted by the tutor who will offer support before making a final attempt.

What if I fail the GTI practical assessment?

You will need to arrange another day of training with the GTi Training Centre where your practical assessment was carried out. You will be charged for this.

Do I need to complete any paperwork?

No. All GTI examinations are completed online and a record of your marks is displayed in your login area. When you complete your practical module you may need to fill out your details as well as a review form.

What will I receive when I complete the GTI course?

You will receive a GTi certificate which will be downloadable for free on successful completion of the course. If you wish to purchase a certificate there will be an administration and postage charge of £15+VAT.

Minimum Student Count

On all GTI courses and iTEC courses there will be a minimum amount of students required in order for the courses to go ahead.  If you have chosen a date and the required amount of students are not available you will be given alternate dates.

What if I arrive late for my course or do not attend?

Our courses are short and can be intensive and to make it fair for all students, if you arrive more than 30 minutes after the class has started, you will not be able to partake and your full course fee including deposit will be forefeit.

If you do not turn up on the day or you cancel your attendance on the course day and/or have given no written notice that you will not be attending the course, then the full course fee is non refundable and non-transferable.

on the other hand, if a course is cancelled due to low numbers or for reasons beyond our control, we will endeavour to transfer you to another course date or offer you a full refund.
